September is arriving and with it the reminder that Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Along with this reminder that many children and adults are fighting this horrible disease comes the reminder that this is also the month that my daughter, Kelsey, was diagnosed with Leukemia. On Tuesday, September 5, 2006 our family and Kelsey’s live changed forever. Kelsey is in remission and has been off treatment since January 2009. Light the Night is very near and dear to our hearts and this will be our fourth year participating. This year Kelsey will be the Honored Hero during the walk. She is very excited and proud to help with the walk in this special way.
Each year it amazes me at the progress that Kelsey has made. It brings me great joy to know that we are raising money to help others see their loved ones make many milestones and memories.
